The Senate Committee Chairman on Solid Minerals, Steel Development, and Metallurgy and Senator Representing Enugu Wear Senatorial district of Enugu State, Senator Osita Ngwu, was on September 25, 2023, received by the Executive Director of Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA), Dr Abdulrazaq Garba and other Directors and management staff of the Agency in NGSA office in Abuja.
According to an information conveyed to Enugupress.ng by Nonso Ezenwoma, SA on Media and Communication to Senator Osita Ngwu, he explained that the NGSA management took time to update the Senator on the progress and challenges of the Agency and requested for the support of the Distinguished Senator.
In his response, Senator Ngwu commended the good works of the Agency and assured them of his support ans the support of the Senate.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency is a parastatal under the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development. The Agency has the statutory role of providing relevant and up-to-date geosciences information necessary for economic development of Nigeria.
