JUST IN: Enugu Minority Whip, Ekwueme Prays For Country as Nigeria celebrates 63rd Independence

 


The Minority Whip and member representing Uzo Uwani State constituency in the Enugu state House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Martins Ekwueme, has prayed for Nigerians as country celebrates 63rd Independence anniversary.


The lawmaker who stated this on the heels of 63rd Independence day celebration of the country, also used the occasion 'to remind Nigerians of the sacrifices and struggles made by the Nigerian freedom fighters to help our country achieve its freedom from the British.


According to a statement sent to Enugupress.ng by the Lawmaker's PA, Engr. Joseph Idu, he also prayed 'that the new month of October bring us joy, happiness, and unending God's mercies and grace.'


His words: "As we celebrate Nigeria's independence, let us remember the sacrifices made by our heroes past and present, and strive to build a better, united nation.


"May peace and harmony prevail in our land, and may we all work together towards progress and development. 


"May this new month bring forth the fulfillment of your dreams and aspirations. May you experience breakthroughs in every area of your life, and may your efforts be rewarded abundantly. 


"Happy Independence Day and a blissful new month to you and your loved ones. God bless Nigeria," It read.
