The Gburugburu free medical Team, on Tuesday and Sunday, 26th of September and 1st of October, 2023, carried out its free medical exercise on five more indigent beneficiaries who visited the medical facility, located along Edem road, Nsukka LGA of Enugu state.
Those who benefitted from the weekly humanitarian gesture include Ogbonna Joy with Appendicitis and Appendectomy, Okweli Florence with Lipoma at the neck and Lumpectomy, Okafor Johnson with Lipoma and Lumpectomy, Nonyelu Ikemba with Lipoma and Lumpectomy and Abah Faith who had Appendicitis and Umbilical hernia, herniorrhaphy and Appendectomy.
In a statement sent to Enugupress.ng by the medical director of the free medical team, Dr. George Ajogwu, he explained that the team had handled the cases successfully on the 26th of September, and on the 1st of October, 2023, free of charge, without any medical complication.
He however, stated that the free medical program which is the brainchild of the Ex-Governor of Enugu state, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, would continue to hold twice a week, as scheduled.
He also used the opportunity to thank the former governor as well as Governor Peter Mbah for their good Governance in the state.
"Our team had carried out free medical surgery on the five indigent persons above on the 26 of September and 1st October, respectively.
"As you already know, this is Governor Ugwuanyi's initiative as an Exemplary leader, and we are also doing it in support of Governor Peter mbah and Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai's good Governance,"he concluded.
