Breaking: Ex-Enugu Senator, Utazi resigns from PDP

The Minority Whip of the 9 Senate, and two times Ex-Senator representing Enugu North senatorial district in the red chamber, Sen. Chukwuka Utazi, (CON) Saturday, resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Senator Utazi, who was a former commissioner for transportation as well as former deputy speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, made this known in his resignation letter dated October 25, 2023, and addressed to the chairman of the PDP in Nkpologu ward, Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu state.

Excerpts from his resignation letter are published below:

"The Chairman Peoples Democratic Party Nkpologu Ward, Uzo Uwani LGA, Enugu State Chief Rob Ezeagu."

"RESIGNATION OF MEMBERSHIP OF PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY, PDP.

"It is with reservation that I resign my membership of the People's Democratic Party which I had the priviledge of being a foundation member at its inception in 1998.

"Reason being that those ideals that attracted me to the party have since receded into oblivion leaving me with no option than to leave and find another party that will afford me with ample opportunity to operate maximally and contribute to national development.

"I am therefore wishing you all well as you continue to work hard to eke out a living in the best way possible under the present circumstances.

"Thanks for your understanding and cooperation so far.

"Sen. Chukwuka Utazi, CON Minority Whip of the 9 Senate," the letter read.
