The Gburugburu free medical team, on Sunday and Monday, 19th and 20th of November, 2023, carried out free surgery on a 39 year old Ezeugwu Maureen from Ohodo in Igboetiti LGA of Enugu State.
Mrs. Ezeugwu, had a case of complicated fibroid and myomectomy, which the Medical team removed free of charge.
Other beneficiaries of the program include Uchenna Ogbu from Nru in Nsukka LGA with Ruptured Appendix and Appendectomy, as well as a 3 year-old Chineke Chukwuemezuo with a case of left Hydrocoele of the cord which Herniotomy, Herniorrhaphy and Orchidopexy were done.
The free surgery program which was a brainchild of the former Governor of Enugu state, Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, is also in support of the good governance of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and his deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai.
