The Executive Chairman of Igbo-Etiti LGA, Hon. Ikenna Nwodo, today, paid a hospital visit to victims of the Aku/Ikolo boundary dispute.

During the visit, the council Mayor sympathized with the victims, and expressed his concerns over the regrettable and avoidable incident. He in the same vein, reiterated the council's determination to assist the security agencies in ensuring that peace and order are maintained in the council area, and assured the people that security forces have been mobilized to restore law and order.

He said: "the security of lives and property of Igbo-Etiti citizens is a collective responsibility of both the government and the people, and we as a government will, through the security forces, continue to ensure that peace and order are maintained in the council".

Speaking further, he added "we must continue to co-exist peacefully as neighbors. Whatever grievances we may have, should be addressed through the right quarter; the government".

The council Mayor also took pragmatic steps to support the victims, by providing material assistance.

He before leaving the hospital premises, paid the medical bills of the two persons affected, whilst ensuring that they were properly taken care of.
