We Will Reward You For What You Have Done - Enugu Commissioner, Ogbodo Assures Uzo Uwani LGA

 



The Enugu State Commissioner For Local Government Affairs, Rural Development, & Chieftaincy Affairs, Deacon Okey Ogbodo, has assured that Uzo Uwani LGA would be rewarded for their supports for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, during last Governorship election in the state.

The commissioner made the remarks during an interactive session with the stakeholders of the LGA on Tuesday, 31st of October, 2023, at the Council Secretariat in Umulokpa.

Deacon Ogbodo who was accompanied on the visit by other top government officials was received by Uzo Uwani LG Chairman, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie; alongside his deputy, Hon. Pius Okeagu; Secretary of the LGA, Hon. Michael Anikezie; Councilors, traditional rulers, PGs, civil servants, among other top critical stakeholders. 

Deacon Ogbo while thanking the LGA for sticking out their necks to work for Governor Peter Mbah during the election, also assured traditional rulers the state government would reconstitute its leadership structure in line with the Constitution as well as fortified them to stem the tide of insecurity in our various communties.

His Words: "Uzo Uwani is a major part of the present government. You Saved us during Last Election. 

"And We thank you for your wisdom, sagacity, and Your leadership. If not for your leadership, things wouldn't have been so

"We will reward you for what you have done, when the government fully takes off.

"You made the right choice. And We brought you good message, that this government is on trackto succeed", he said. 

speakers who spoke on behalf of the LGA as well as thanked the Commissioner for his visit include the council chairman, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie; PDP chairman of the LGA, Hon. Jude Ifeanyi Okonkwo; state Woman leader of the PDP, lady Vera Ezugwu; National Ex-officio of the PDP, Princess Nwanneka Okoro. 

Others include Dr. Romanus Ezike; former commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Mathew Anene Idu; former chairmen of the LGA, Hon. Cornel Onwubunya and Chief Anthony Chigbo
