The leadership of Uzo Uwani Students Association, UNN chapter, led by the president, Okechukwu Edwin O, has paid a 'thank You' Visit to the Executive chairman of Uzo Uwani local government area, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, in appreciation for the Council Chairman's recent bursary awards to students of five tertiary institutions across Enugu state.
Recall that Hon. Nnadozie, had recently disbursed over 13.3 million Naira, to about 260 undergraduates of Uzo Uwani extraction across UNN, UNEC, ESUTEC, IMT, and Eha-mufu.
Speaking during the exercise, the president, enumerated other humanitarian gestures of the council chairman in the past four years to include his payment of 500 thousand Naira to first class graduates from the LGA, as well as his financial supports to law-school-bound undergraduates from the LGA.
"Mr. Chairman, we want to say a big 'thank you' for the recent bursary awards, to about 260 students from our LGA.
"The money actually meant so much to us, especially at this very difficult moment. And this is why we have come to say thank you."
Also corroborating the position of the president, the vice chairperson of the association, Ogbobe Maria-Goretti (VP), expressed happiness following the bursary program, while praying that the almighty God replenish the Chairman's goodwill.
"It is our prayer that the good Lord bless you for us," she said.
Other Executive Members of the association in attendance include Amandi Umanor, (sec Gen); Okanya Leonard Oguchi, (fin sec); Aruma Mather Ogechi, (treasurer); Eze Blessing Nneka ( Asst Sec gen); Ogwudile Perpetual C, (Director of social); Ugwu Daniel Ejiofor, (director of games); Agu Michael Ofornna, (Welfare officer); and Nnadozie Peter Chidi (P R.O)
Meanwhile, Hon. Nnadozie was accompanied on the visit by the Executive Chairman of Igboetiti LGA, Hon. Barr. Ikenna Nwodo.
