THE Executive Chairman of Uzo Uwani LGA, Hon. Chukwudi Celestine Nnadozie, was accorded standing ovation amidst commendations as he presided over his last executive council meeting as Elected Chairman.
The valedictory meeting, which held at the Executive Council Chambers in Umulokpa, was attended by all members of his cabinet, as well as the 16 Councilors across the 16 council wards of the LGA.
The meeting commenced with a praise and worship session led by the chairman who appreciated God for His blessings upon the people and government of the LGA in the last four years.
Cabinet members who took turns to speak, poured encomiums on the LG chairman not only for giving them the opportunity to serve but also for providing quality transformational leadership for people of the LGA.
Notable speakers such as the Vice Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Pius Okeagu, Secretary of the LGA, Hon. Michael Anikezie; leader of Uzo Uwani legislative House, Hon. Philip Okoro; in their various speeches acknowledged the Chairman's vision, courage and indomitable spirit with which he pursued the development of the LGA .
The speakers assured Hon. Nnadozie of the unalloyed support and commitment of both the outgoing cabinet members, and the outgoing councilors as someone who came, saw and conquered.
They however, wished Hon. Nnadozie well in his future political endeavors as well as passed votes of confidence on him.
Highlights of the event include singing and dancing by the Executive members and the councilors in celebration of the two successful terms of the outgoing council chairman.
