Chuka Utazi, Mr. Charles Ogbuanya, former administrator of Adada Development Centre, Hon. Chiemelie Dieke; former supervisor for education in the LGA, Hon. Charles Okoye; among others.

The event which was held at Bonty Undiluted Garden in Enugu Metropolis, was organized by Prince Patric Ogochukwu Ogbobe (Ogbobe-Ija) and Comrade Erochukwu Ayogu (Aka Bontee undiluted Garden).

Speaking during the occasion, one of the organisers of the event, Prince Ogochukwu Patrick explained that the purpose of the gathering was to celebrate the candidate's emergence and assure him of total supports of indigenes of the LGA who reside in the state municipal area.

Other speakers who took their turns to express gratitude following Barr. Ezugwu's emergence include Hon. Emmanuel Enuka, Comrade Erochukwu Ayogu, Ogueche Boniface,  Barr. Nicholas Eze, Hon. Nnenna Umeh, Sunday Oguejiofor (Motion), among others.

In his reaction, Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu who thanked the organizers of the event, assured  his administration will create numerous employment opportunities for youths of the council.

He also, promised to unlock the council's economy by converting the vast area of dormant land for agricultural purposes, assuring his readiness for the council to regain its pride as the food basket of the state.

"I want to appreciate the governor of Enugu State, Dr  Peter Mbah, Uzo-Uwani delegates and the whole stakeholders for making a day like this possible. It wouldn't have been possible if not for God who used His Excellency to establish this platform.

"I am a youth and I know the pains our young ones are passing through. The long time neglect of our youth in the position of authority and the administration of the council is gone and gone forever. We are not going to forget our elderly ones, they will still be part of the system and be playing advisory roles but it's time for the youth. It's time to go into talent discovery, channelling the energy in our youth into productivity, turning our forests into farmlands and farm settlements.

"I equally want to assure you that in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s Administration to make Enugu a premier destination for tourism and investment, we will tackle the issue of insecurity in our council. Uzo-Uwani will be too hot for  kidnappers, miscreants and other forms of criminal elements to operate. It is already a red flag zone for them already," Ezugwu said.

Earlier speaking, the People Democratic Party Chairman in Uzo-Uwani, Hon. Kingsley Ani while addressing the people solicited for their massive support in the forthcoming October 5th chairmanship and councilorship elections, urging them to uphold the virtues which their party was known for.

"We are proud to have elected Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu as the flag-bearer of our great party. His records in fighting the insecurity as the former Chief Security Officer of the council is such that can never be forgotten. Today, you the sons of Uzo-Uwani in Enugu have dimmed it fit to welcome him and we are not in doubt that your prayers and wishes are with our party", he maintained.
