Enugu LG Poll: Igwe Ogadagidi congratulates Asogwa, other Enugu chairmen on election victories

The Chairman of Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu (Igwe Ogadagidi, Igwe Nwere Ngabasi), has congratulated the chairman-elect of Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, Chief Jude Asogwa, along with other PDP candidates, on their resounding victories during the just-concluded council elections in Enugu State.

Igwe Asadu made this known in Nsukka in a congratulatory press statement he sent to newsmen on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Igwe Asadu described Asogwa's victory as a reflection of the will of the people and expressed confidence that the Nsukka LG under his leadership will experience significant progress that would have a positive impact on their communities, especially on the rural dwellers.

The monarch, who is also the traditional ruler of Edem-Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom in Nsukka LGA further extended his congratulations to other Peoples Democratic Party candidates who also emerged as chairmen and counselors in their respective local government areas and wards.

Asadu commended Gov Peter Mbah for providing and ensuring an enabling environment that made the election successful and highlighted the governor’s commitment human human-oriented governance and development as key factors that contributed to the overall success of the elections, as well victory of the PDP.
"I, on behalf of my Royal Family, and the good people of Edem-Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom extend my warmest congratulations to Chief Jude Asogwa on his well-deserved victory in the just concluded Enugu State Council election, as the Chairman-elect of Nsukka Local Government Area, under the platform of PDP. This remarkable achievement reflects the will and the confidence the people reposed in you.

“I also wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the other elected chairmen and counselors who emerged victorious across various Local Government Areas and wards. Their success is a reflection of their strong connection with their communities and a clear mandate to lead with integrity and service.

“I commend the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission for conducting a transparent and efficient electoral process that upheld the principles of fairness and credibility. Their efforts have strengthened democracy at the grassroots level in Enugu State.

“I also commend in a special way His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his quality leadership and support of democratic institutions in the state. His commitment to fostering good governance and sustainable development remains evident in the peaceful, smooth, and transparent conduct of the council elections.

It will be recalled that the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission had, on Sunday, declared the results of the local government council elections held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, across all 17 local government councils and 260 political wards in the state.
